Water Management

Water Management Sustainable water management is a priority at all Dennis Family Corporation developments.

The Dennis Family Corporation's Cranbourne development, The Hunt Club, was the first residential development in Victoria to provide homeowners with recycled water directly supplied to their homes for outside use and toilet flushing.

By using recycled water for non-drinking applications residents will reduce drinking water consumption by up to 40 percent. It is anticipated that when the Hunt Club is completed, 1200 homes will be connected to the system saving approximately 100 Olympic sized swimming pools of precious drinking water per year.

Other water saving initiatives include:
• Wetlands that treat collected stormwater
• Under taking extensive regeneration programmes to improve the health of local waterways
• We extensively use indigenous plantings reducing overall water consumption
• Provide residents with a "Suggested Planting Guide" which informs homeowners about the local soils and climate, encourages the use of native species requiring less watering and including comments on their use.
• Using Class A recycled water to irrigate public open spaces (where the supply is available)
