Sixteen groups share in community grants

The financial future of 16 local not-for-profit community groups has been made more secure following last night’s announcement of the grant recipients from the 2010 Rose Grange Community Fund.

These groups will share in $13,000 with funds to be used for an extremely broad range of applications from purchasing a digital projector, to replacing sporting equipment through to upgrading or improving community facilities.

Congratulations to the following grant recipients from the 2010 Rose Grange Community Fund:

  • 1st Werribee Scout Group Upgrade the scout hall kitchen
  • Baden Powell College An art garden with native plants 
  • BaseCamp3030 A 2500 litre rain water tank
  • Hoppers Crossing Girl Guides Upgrading 1st aid qualifications and uniforms for leaders 
  • Manorvale Primary School Repair art room kiln
  • Our Lady of the Southern Cross - PFA Purchase sporting equipment
  • Sanctuary Lakes Auskick Funds toward purchase of an equipment trailer
  • Sayers Road Auskick Purchase equipment and support for disadvantaged children
  • South Sudanese Community in Wyndham A support programme for new arrivals
  • Stella Maris Catholic Primary School- PFA Garden tools for use in a Kitchen Garden
  • The Migrant Hub 
  • Werribee Tennis Club Competition polo shirts for junior teams
  • Western Region Bengali School Purchase a digital projector
  • Wilmington Kindergarten Portable gazebo for use in school functions
  • Wyndham Disability Action Group Purchase a laptop computer
  • Wyndham Lodge Community Aged Care A portable kiosk and beauty care trolley

The Rose Grange the Community Fund has been operating since 2002 and since this time more than $100,000 has been donated to over 100 groups operating locally to this development.
